The Climate Reality Leadership Corps training is a high-impact global initiative that trains individuals to become effective climate advocates and communicators. Participants train directly with former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and leading climate experts to gain deep understanding of the climate crisis and practical solutions. The program has been running for nearly 20 years and has trained thousands of individuals worldwide across more than 190 countries. Upon completion, you become an official Climate Reality Leader and join a global network of tens of thousands of climate leaders working at local, national, and global levels.
Who Can Apply
The program is open to applicants worldwide, including those from Africa, Asia, Europe, North America, South America, and Oceania. Eligible applicants include students (high school, undergraduate, postgraduate), young professionals, activists and community leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators, policy advocates, educators, and researchers. The minimum age requirement is 16 years for international applicants and 13 years for U.S. applicants. No specific degree, GPA, or professional experience is required, making it accessible to a wide range of applicants. Strong applicants typically demonstrate passion for climate action and sustainability, interest in advocacy or community engagement, commitment to implementing climate solutions locally, and ability to communicate and influence change.
What You Get
The training participation is free and includes some meals during the event. You will receive world-class training and mentorship from globally recognized experts, access to advocacy toolkits and communication materials, ongoing training and mentorship programs, and access to global campaigns and community platforms. The program provides certification as a Climate Reality Leader, opening doors to global advocacy platforms and initiatives. You will also learn climate science and global impacts, renewable energy and clean solutions, climate justice and equity, public speaking and communication strategies, grassroots organizing and mobilization, and policy advocacy and political engagement.
